MELANIE DEEGAN
Melanie is one of our new artists that we have recently taken on board and we are happy to introduce you to her original and inspiring collection. She is a trained woodcarver and has worked in restoration and for the National Trust.
Her work is based on animal and figures and the importance of movement within her pieces is captured by the unusual use of wire frameworks and Jesmonite (coloured acrylic resin) creating energetic and graceful sculpture. Jesmonite is lightweight and strong and lends itself beautifully to larger structures to create sculptures for gardens and outdoor locations. Smaller pieces range from 10cm high upwards. Melanie is currently having her work produced in pure bronze – look out for her new pieces !
Melanie has an abundance of exhibitions around the country and an exciting year ahead.
